THE largest boat ever to be lifted from Hartlepool marina was hoisted on Wednesday.
Sarah Thinnessen, a 79ft trawler, became the largest vessel to be lifted at the marina, by a boat hoist called Son of Swanwick, commissioned in summer.
The trawler, based in Whitby, was scheduled to go back into the water yesterday, and another large vessel called Popular Voyager - a 92ft charter motor vessel - was due for lifting out.
Glenys Thompson, who was involved in yesterday's operation, said: "This is a really exciting time for the marina with two big jobs one after the other, and many quotes in the pipeline."
