Northern Spirit Colts were held 1-1 after being ahead for the majority of their match at home to Northern Spirit RA in the Second Division.
Midfield workhorse Martin Hogg opened the scoring with a low, right-footed curler from the edge of the penalty area in the first half. But Colts could not capitalise on their frequent attacking forays as the RA back line snuffed-out any danger with ease, Carl Mansfield particulary, in good form.
Neil Pinkney eventually grabbed an equaliser in the second period which means Colts have now won only once all season, despite taking the lead in five out of the last six matches.
Newton Aycliffe SC consolidating their lead at the top of Division One with goals from Peter Foster and Andrew Turner in a 2-0 victory over nearest rivals Northern Echo.
Team Scania moved back into second spot and made six wins out of six by coming back from 2-0 down to beat Stooperdale RA 8-2. Jimmy Morris scored twice to give RA an early lead but Scania took control once Stooperale were reduced to ten men from injury to Ian Broadhurst with goals from Mike Carter (3), Andrew Kelly (2) and one each from Martin Smith, Lee Hammond and Lee Jenkinson.
Coundon Miners Arms moved into third spot and also made it six wins out of six beating Jack Horners 7-1. Coundon took the lead after ten minutes and Jacks conceded a further three goals in 10 minutes then got back into it when Ted Halstead controlled the ball with his back to goal and back heeled it in to make it 4-1. But Coundon soon regained control scoring three more to make the final score 7-1. Scorers for Coundon were Rob Mazur (2), John Musgrave, Brett Collingwood, Wayne Carr, Stephen Denham and Darren Wilson one each.
