Zara Phillips, the teenage daughter of the Princess Royal, escaped serious injury yesterday when her Land Rover overturned on a country road.
It is understood the vehicle clipped a wall and overturned on an unclassified road between Bourton-on-the-Water and Ford, in Gloucestershire.
Zara, 19, suffered minor injuries but did not need medical treatment.
No other vehicle was involved in the accident, which happened just before 7am, and no one was travelling with the princess's daughter.
Gloucestershire Police attended the scene and required Zara to take a routine breath test which was negative.
Buckingham Palace said: "The Royal Family have been informed. Thankfully, Zara escaped without any serious injury.
