THE Terminator rubbed shoulders with Cruella de Ville, while the Martini girl skated rings around the Playboy Bunny at a star-studded festive event.
Although the real-life stars could not make it, staff from the police's criminal records office did their best to dress the parts.
Aimed at raising money for the needy in Cleveland, yesterday's event involved almost 20 staff from the office at Cleveland Police headquarters, in Middlesbrough.
The effort was coordinated by Vicky Bell and Faye Eaton, who dressed as Cruella and Mother Christmas.
Ms Eaton said: "We had a chat in the office about what we could do and a few options were mentioned, but dressing up won the day. Everyone was for it because it had not been done before.
"We all paid £1 to take part - and those who didn't come to work in fancy dress had to pay £2 or £3 for the privilege of wearing normal clothes."
It was left to the staff to decide on their own costumes, and many were quite inventive, as well as keeping with the festive theme.
