FOOTBALL fans were in for a Christmas treat when their heroes arrived at their party.
Middlesbrough stars Gianluca Festa and Christian Karembeu were surprise guests at the party at Middlesbrough Football Community Centre, in Eston.
They handed out gifts of Boro footballs to 80 of the centre's members, who have regularly attended football coaching courses over the past year.
Karembeu, the centre's honorary patron, said: "I have been to the centre on many occasions, and it is a wonderful facility that I want to bring my own children to."
Courses are run by Football Association-qualified coaches, including ex-Boro stars Jim Platt and Frank Spraggon.
