THE first two community wardens in Redcar and Cleveland have received positive reaction in their first year.
Geoff Parry and Dave Simpson are delighted with the feedback from the people of Eston.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council is so pleased with the way the wardens have been received by the community that it is considering investigating ways to extend the pilot scheme into Teesville and Normanby, as well as Brotton.
Mike Hardman, the council's assistant director (direct works), said: "The initial feedback has been extremely positive. Residents in Eston tell us it's the best thing to happen to them for years."
