A REGENERATED area of Middlesbrough is becoming a popular location for people moving to the town, according to research.
Wimpey Homes says it has sold three-quarters of the available sites in Grove Hill, between Linthorpe and Marton Road, in just under two years.
Joan Edwards, home buying advisor for the house building company, said yesterday: "Inquiries are already coming in for our final release of properties, which will be completed by the spring.
"As well as local people moving to our development, we've had people from as far afield as Brotton, Guisborough and Northallerton.
"What attracts them is the quality of the property, and the fact it's so close to the town centre and the main roads."
Terry Davies, general manager for the Grove Hill 2000 Partnership, said: "Wimpey has been a major partner in the regeneration of Grove Hill. This is a major success for our community."
