A CANDLELIT procession and inter-denominational service is to be repeated on New Year's Eve at Durham Cathedral.
It follows the success of a similar event, intended as a one-off to mark the onset of the new Millennium, last year.
All-comers are welcome to join the procession, which leaves from the Market Place, in Durham city centre, on Sunday, at 5.30pm.
The procession is expected to arrive at the cathedral for the Churches Together service at approximately, 6.15pm.
