A NEW book has been published for people hoping to enjoy a walk in the fresh air around Sedgefield borough.
The 64-page Walks Around Sedgefield has been produced by Sedgefield Borough Council's countryside officer, Graham Clingan.
Not only did he write the book, he took many of the photographs that highlight the area's beauty.
There are ten mapped walks, described and illustrated in detail, along with interesting facts about the areas.
Mr Clingan said: "The book is full of information researched and gathered together by local people. The book would not have been possible without all their help and enthusiasm."
It has been produced by the borough council, with financial support from Durham County Council and the Countryside Agency and costs £4.95, including postage and packaging.
Available from most bookshops, copies can also be bought from the borough council and other local outlets.
To order by post, send a cheque for £4.95 payable to Sedgefield Borough Council, Planning and Technical Services, to the council offices, Green Lane, Spennymoor, DL16 6JQ. Mark your envelope "Walks Book".
