TWO men accused of the kidnap and torture of a teenager were granted bail by a court yesterday.
John Beddow, 18, and Anthony Greenman, 32, were arrested in Middlesbrough after the youth was taken to hospital with a broken nose and injuries allegedly caused by a claw hammer.
Mr Beddow, of Talbot Street, Middlesbrough, was charged with aggravated burglary at a flat in the town's Borough Road, last Wednesday, with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm on Andrew Bland, 18, and also of making a threat to kill the teenager, kidnapping him, inflicting grievous bodily harm on him with intent, and injuriously imprisoning him.
Mr Greenman, of the same address, was charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent, injuriously imprisonment, and threat to kill.
The pair were granted bail until January 10 with a condition not to contact or interfere with Mr Bland
