A DAYTIME drop-in centre for young people is responding to popular demand by opening one night a week from next week.
The OK4 Young People centre, which recently moved into new premises in Coatham Memorial Hall in Redcar, has been open since 1992.
Now, from January 8, it will be open every Monday evening. The club will be celebrating with an opening night based on a theme of pizza and pool. Then over the following weeks there will be a variety of activities including ice skating, bungee jumping and batik art.
Project worker Edd Harford said: "Our new premises enable us to expand the services that we offer. This provides an excellent opportunity to hold an activities based evening drop-in where young people can learn art and crafts, listen to live music and take part in things they didn't know they would."
