WORSHIPPERS will celebrate a festival of Christmas cribs tomorrow during parish communion.
A collection of 20 cribs telling the story of the nativity - from pre-war Italian cribs to a recently made gingerbread version - will be displayed at St Mary's Church, West Rainton, near Durham City.
Last year, a Victorian Festival was held at St Mary's to celebrate the dawning of the new millennium.
The Reverend David Guest, rector of St Mary's, said: "Last year's festival was so successful, we wanted to do something this year.
"A lot of people have Christmas cribs in their homes so we brought them all together in church.
