A tale of mystery among the Northumbrian hills is to be performed at a Wear Valley theatre.
With the Christmas season spirit still lingering, Dawn of the Firefawn is a must for adults and children.
The play tells the story of a quest among the hills of ancient Northumbria, where gold, frankincense and myrrh lie hidden.
It is the first in a trilogy of Christmas tales by NTC Theatre Company and will visit Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Wednesday.
By Shaun Prendergast, who has also written for TV's Soldier Soldier, EastEnders and Equinox, it is aimed at children six-years-old and upwards.
Tickets are £4 and £3 concessions. Doors open at 6pm
