AS the bearded members of 1980s rock band ZZ Top once sang: "She's got legs - she knows how to use them!"
Entrepreneurs Jill Gibson and Lavinia Nicholson, both of whom are a striking 6ft tall, have certainly used their traffic-stopping pins to good financial effect.
After struggling for years with ill-fitting trousers, the pair decided to tackle the problem and set up their own Internet-based fashion business - longenough.com.
While it may be difficult for a lot of people to truly sympathise with women boasting the stature of Amazonian Goddesses, Jill, who works from home in Durham City, says it does have drawbacks.
She said: "Research from the Department of Health reveals that, in the six years from 1988 to 1993, the female population has grown a staggering one centimetre.
"While most shops are trying to change their garments to reflect the larger size of the average woman, they are ignoring a growing section of the female population which is getting taller.
"The problem is that we can never find stylish, well-designed trousers in the high street which are the perfect fit.
"We became so frustrated, we thought we would try to help women like ourselves. www.longenough.com aims to provide tall women with trousers which fit perfectly. The sizes are eight to 18, but there is no limit to the length trousers can go."
Jill's business partner and fellow six-footer, Lavinia, said they chose an e-commerce business because of its simplicity.
"Women have more important things to do instead of searching for the right-sized trousers, so they can now shop in the comfort of their own home at leisure," she added.
