DOGS at a Darlington rescue centre have been snuggling up to their new duvets thanks to the generosity of a dry cleaning firm.
The National Canine Defence League centre in Sadberge was delighted when Sketchley decided to donate the unwanted duvets left in its shops by customers.
The dry cleaning chain said the duvets were taking up too much space and despite staff contacting owners they had remained unclaimed for more than a year.
Staff at the rescue centre said the donation could not have come at a better time with winter now in full swing
