The Victoria Club extended their lead to 12 points at the top after they only dropped three points to the visiting Hunwick Joiners Arms. The gap at the top was surprisingly opened out when second placed Willington Burn went down by two points to the visiting Willington Lion and Unicorn. The Burn are still 22 points ahead of the Prospect Club.
There were maximums last week for Colin Davison of Willington Burn and Bobby Hall of the Victoria Club.

Tow Law New Market B managed to stay six points ahead of Crook Queen's Head after both teams won by five points. However the New Market trail the unbeaten Crook Coach and Horses by 37 points.
The leading individual scorers were Margaret Stewart 140 for the Coach and Horses, Dorothy Storey 140 and 120 for the Travellers Rest, Carol Spencer 132 for the New Market B and Val Readman 123 for the Victoria Club.

Sunniside Comedian clinched their victory at Tow Law New Market B by taking two of the three doubles points. After the trebles were shared, the home side had singles wins from Stephen Umpelby and Phil Spencer while the Comedian went ahead with wins from Jeff Ridley, Christine Marley, Raymond Wright and John Smythe.
Leading scorers: J Sneath with a 160 start, 180 and two 140s for Billy Row Club, D Yeoman 180 and 140 for Tow Law New Market A, R. McFadden 140 and M. Henry 140 and a 120 finish for the Cattle Mart, T McQuillan two 140s and A Maughan 140 for the Stag's Head and M Bell 140 for the Station.
Billy Row Club lead the table by 12 points from Esh Winning Stag's head, who are 16 points ahead of the third placed Tow Law Cattle Mart.
