This week I won't talk about ice hockey. Instead, I want to talk about courage and the courage my father is showing right now.
Like you must know, I had to go back to Canada for a while because my father suffered a stroke about a month ago.
It is the worst feeling in the world to see a person that you love so much fighting for his life. For a few days, it was a life or death situation for him.
While I was seeing him battling for his life, I was just amazed to see him hang on and keeping a great attitude.
Now, he is doing a lot better and he is a great source of inspiration for me. He asked me to go back to England and play the best hockey of my life for him. I promised him I will.
Three weeks ago, I found my real hero - my Dad.
Louis Bedard is a winger with the Newcastle Jesters.
