ARTISTS are bringing a touch of colour to a community centre with a new mosaic. The Tree of Life creation from the Rural Arts North Yorkshire group, in Thirsk, will soon be the centrepiece of the entrance hall, at Foxwood community centre, near York. The colourful mosaic features symbols of the activities which take place at the venue, including line dancing, children's parties and whist drives. Members of Rural Arts are planning to install it at the hall by the end of next week. Arts group administrator Janice McVay is pictured showing the work.Picture: RICHARD DOUGHT
