POLICE are seeking a gang of teenage muggers who attacked a pensioner in a supermarket car park.
The 67-year-old woman was walking through Morrison's car park, in Bishop Auckland, from the Prince's Street entrance, when she was approached from behind.
The gang threw her to the ground and snatched her handbag before fleeing along Princess Street at 1.20pm. Police have appealed for witnesses to the attack.
The teenagers wore dark clothing. The handbag was made of black leather and measured about ten inches by seven inches. It contained cash and personal documents.
