WORK and study have proved a winning combination for a student who achieved an award as well as his degree.
Anthony Stubbs, 25, of Salcombe Way, Redcar, took a manufacturing and business course at Teesside University to improve his career prospects.
During his placement year he was employed as a project engineer for Tetley GB Ltd, in Stockton, which offered him a permanent contract, and he combined work and study.
Now he has topped off his achievements by winning the university's Institute of Mechanical Engineers Prize.
