TWO youths, aged 15, five men and two women appeared in court yesterday on drugs charges.
The appearances before magistrates in Middlesbrough followed a series of arrests in Stockton by Cleveland Police during Operation Achilles, a drugs crackdown.
Carl Perry, 22, of Elm House Apartments, was jailed for 90 days for possessing cannabis.
Craig Speight, 27, and Emma Burton, 21, both of Elm House Apartments, and Gary Simpson, 23, of Darlington Lane, were remanded in custody charged with conspiracy to supply heroin.
Michael Stephenson, 27, of Lilac Road, Lee Birmingham, 26, of Morton Road, and Gareth Metcalfe, 20, of Norfolk Street, were remanded in custody accused of supplying and possessing heroin.
Colleen Brookes, 26, of Garbutt Street, was bailed on charges of supplying heroin and possessing diamorphine.
One of the 15-year-old youths was remanded in custody for a week, the other was bailed, both on charges of supplying and possessing heroin
