A MOUNTAIN rescue team was called out for the first time this year on Saturday.
The Cleveland Search and Rescue Team was asked to help bring an injured woman out of a wood at Marske.
The incident began at about 2.30pm when the woman, from Skelton, slipped while walking her dogs in Errington woods and injured her knee.
A passer-by alerted the ambulance service, which asked the rescue team for help, because of the remote location.
Members helped the paramedics by carrying the woman for about a kilometre to an ambulance. She was taken to Middlesbrough General Hospital.
Team spokesman, Pete Mounsey, said: "We used our specialised mountain stretcher and equipment to keep the injured lady warm and to carry her safely across the muddy paths to the ambulance.
