A DAZZLING Christmas garden display has raised £340 for Children in Need, despite being damaged by vandals on Christmas Eve.
Ray Lauder, who lives on the Hall Lane Estate, Willington, began putting up 2,000 Christmas lights around his garden in November. He also converted his garden shed into a Santa's grotto.
Mr Lauder's efforts won him a place in the finals of The Northern Echo's annual Ho Ho Homes competition for the best lights display
