A TEESSIDE radio station is urging local people to sign up for a data-gathering exercise.
The Office for National Statistics is recruiting 63,000 enumerators in the lead up to Census Day on April 29.
The census, carried out every ten years, is a count of all people and households in Britain, and gives the Government and businesses a detailed picture of the population.
Enumerators deliver census forms to households and help to fill them in.
From today, information on the census and how to become an enumerator will be highlighted in a campaign by BBC Radio Cleveland.
