ACCIDENT investigators appealed last night for information from witnesses to three separate road accidents.
Three people are recovering in different hospitals with serious injuries after the accidents on roads in County Durham at the weekend.
A 29-year-old pedestrian from Consett was in a critical but stable condition in intensive care at Durham's Dryburn Hospital after suffering multiple injuries in an accident shortly after midnight on Sunday
He was walking in Medomsley Road, Consett, when he was in collision with a Mercedes car being driven south.
A 14-year-old rider of an off-road motorcycle, which was in collision with a car in North Road East, in Wingate, east Durham, shortly before 10pm on Friday, has been moved from Hartlepool General Hospital into intensive care at Newcastle General Hospital, where he was said yesterday to be in a serious but stable condition.
His pillion passenger, a 23-year-old man, declined treatment.
In the third accident, a 12-year-old in-line skater who crossed into the path of a car in Peterlee's Passfield Way early on Friday evening, was reported to be "comfortable" in Hartlepool General Hospital, yesterday.
Durham Police's accident investigation unit has appealed for information from witnesses to any of the incidents.
They are asked to ring the motor patrols unit, on 0191-386 4929.
