A TOURING entertainment scheme will be be bringing drama and music to Teesdale in the spring.
The North Pennine Highlights, which gives village halls in rural areas the chance to host professional arts performances, has secured a series of drama and music events for Teesdale in the next three months.
It includes performances by the Cleveland Theatre Company, Jack Drum Arts, the NTC Touring Theatre and music from Pauline Cato and Tom McConville.
There are events planned for eight village halls, at Hamsterley, Bowes, Gilmonby, Cotherstone, Barnard Castle, Mickleton, Barningham and Gainford. As well as drama and music, there will be performances by storytellers, dancers and puppeteers.
North Pennines Highlights is funded by Northern Arts, Cumbria County Council, Durham County Council, The Countryside Agency, North West Development Agency, Eden Arts, Teesdale District Council, Wear Valley District Council, Tynedale District Council and South Lakeland District Council.
