A SPECIAL jobs fair is to be held later this month for people who want to get involved in this year's Census.
The ten-yearly snapshot of the nation is due to take place on April 29 and people are needed to be the public face of the great population count.
The jobs fair is to be held at the Clifford Street JobCentre, in York, for would-be enumerators and team leaders on January 19.
North Yorkshire Census area manager, Alan Davies, will be there with his district managers, between 2pm and 6pm, to explain how the once-a-decade event works.
He is looking to recruit more than 300 people to cover York and the surounding area, and ensure that all the forms are delivered, and that everyone understands how they should be completed.
Successful applicants will be given full training for their role. All the positions will be part-time and run from mid-March to mid-May.
