A COUNCIL team is in the running for new awards success.
Stockton Borough Council's award-winning finance department is celebrating once again after being short-listed for the finance team of the tear category in the Local Government Chronicle Awards for Excellence 2001.
The team has only just finished toasting its end-of-year success after being named "overall winner" at the North-East Excellence Awards 2000.
It must wait until March to hear whether it can add another title to its ever-growing collection.
