A WOMAN had to be released from machinery when her hand became trapped.
The factory worker's finger became caught in the mechanisms of a machine at Calsonic Climate Control on the Dabble Duck Industrial Estate, Shildon, County Durham.
Ambulance crews attended, and decided to call fire crews to help release her, but a works engineer managed to work her hand free.
The woman was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital, where she was reported to have a broken finger.
A company spokesman said they were conducting an investigation, and were looking at reducing any hazards that may exist on the plant
