A DEFUNCT disco is to be revived in Piercebridge, near Darlington.
Alan Scott, who was disc jockey for the weekly disco at the George Hotel in the 1980s, has teamed up with former regular Stuart Bird to revive the event.
The duo decided to relaunch the event after requests and feed back from hundreds of former regulars.
The original disco was launched in 1980, selling out every .
It sold out every week until the George Hotel was sold and the new owners discontinued the discos.
Now Mr Bird, 36, is determined to make the event a regular weekly feature once more.
The disco will feature the Mi Amigo roadshow, led by Mr Scott, who ran the disco between 1980 and 1984.
The ticket-only event will be relaunched on January 31, between 8pm and 1am.
