A COMMUNITY united to make a clean sweep of its latest beach care project.
Members of the Saltburn 500 Club were joined by the Guisborough Sea Cadets and local volunteers for their litter survey and clean-up of Saltburn beach earlier this month.
The project, which was the first in a programme planned for the year, was carried out as part of local people's participation in the Adopt a Beach scheme, run by the Marine Conservation Society.
Saltburn beach was initially adopted by the 500 Club, made up of about 500 local people who run initiatives to enhance the community.
Further clean-ups are planned in April and June with a national event in September.
