THE festive season may be over and the decorations are coming down - but the panto fun is still going strong.

And for dentist Richard Emms that means putting away the white coat in favour of the colourful costume of a clown as Joey Whizzbang, one of the stars of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Goldilocks is this year's choice of the Ripon Charity Pantomime Group and it continues at Ripon College until tomorrow night.

In the 22 years since it was founded the group has raised more than £35,000 for local good causes and this year's show written by John Morley, promises to boost that total still further.

The panto committee will shortly be discussing which local good causes should benefit from this year's production and any bids should be made to the chairman, Pat McLennan, on (01765) 607546.

The show starts at 7.30pm tonight and tomorrow with a matinee tomorrow at 2pm. Tickets are on sale at the door or from the Alan Matthews Studio in Kirkgate, Ripon
