A Teesside club is celebrating a successful fundraising period over Christmas, which will help local charities.
The Middlesbrough Teesside Lions Club, which covers Middlesbrough, Redcar and east Cleveland, has raised more than £1,500 through various events held in the run-up to Christmas and throughout the festive period.
The events included a teddy bear tombola in the Cleveland Shopping Centre, in Middlesbrough, a Santa Claus sleigh in selected roads in Middlesbrough and Redcar, and a collection on the beach at the Boxing Day dip, in Redcar.
Members of the club also delivered, or arranged for the delivery, of 40 parcels to selected households in the Middlesbrough and Redcar areas before Christmas.
Giles Bolitho, president of the club, said that all the money raised would be used to support a number of charities in Teesside, covering a range of activities.
