SOCCER fanatic David Pattison ended up in court after his wife had him arrested for over-exuberant goal celebrations.
Football widow Marie Pattison saw red when her Newcastle United fan partner refused to calm down after his side's late FA Cup equaliser.
She dialled 999 and David was carted away by police for causing a breach of the peace.
After spending a night in the cells, he came before Sunderland magistrates, still wearing his black and white strip, to explain his antics.
Trouble flared when David leapt into the air when Nolberto Solano scored an 80th-minute equaliser in Sunday's FA Cup clash with Aston Villa.
Mother-of-three Marie, 40, said: "He just went berserk. He was leaping around singing songs and shouting."
Unemployed David, 40, who lives in Sunderland, said: "I've been a fan since my dad took me to St James' Park when I was five. It's in my blood."
He was bound over to keep the peace for a year after admitting a breach of the peace
