A TEENAGER who was hit by a car while crossing a road lost his fight for life in hospital yesterday.
Jamie Colin Sanders, 16, of Bullamoor Road, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, had been in intensive care at York District Hospital since suffering serious head injuries in the accident, on the A64 at Bilbrough Top, on Tuesday.
Jamie is thought to have been crossing the road to get to a bus stop after finishing work at the Armstrong Massey garage, where he started work last week as a trainee service receptionist.
