A MAN appeared in court yesterday on charges relating to an alleged baseball bat attack on three women.
Michael English is accused of two offences of wounding, one of assault causing actual bodily harm, and a public order offence, following the incident in east Durham, on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old Peterlee man was remanded in custody yesterday by town magistrates, who adjourned the hearing for a week.
All three victims, a mother in her forties, her daughter in her twenties and a neighbour in her thirties, were taken to Hartlepool General Hospital, after the late night attack in Basingstoke Road, Peterlee.
They received treatment for injuries which included a fractured arm, broken wrist and head wounds, but were later released
