A County Durham day nursery has been given permission to build an extension to accommodate more children.
Eden Day Nursery, in Rushyford, applied to Sedgefield Borough Council to allow an additional 20 children on site.
Councillors gave their approval to the proposal in November last year, but officers had got their sums wrong.
A report at the time said the extra places would bring the total number of children up to 42, and councillors imposed a condition limiting the accommodation to that figure.
But the nursery already had 42 places and the extension would bring the capacity up to 62.
The report says: "The error is regrettable, but given that the planning assessment will not be affected by it, it is suggested that the condition be amended to limit the number of children attending the extended nursery to no more than 62."
Councillors at a recent development control committee meeting agreed to the recommendation, and the application was approved.
