AYCLIFFE Angels have a second chance to get hold of a commemorative brochure signed by the Prime Minister for a service held in their honour.
The rare souvenir was produced for a service at Durham Cathedral to mark the achievements of workers on the Home Front during the war.
The remembrance service was long overdue recognition for the contribution to the war effort of munitions workers, and marked the end of a three-year campaign by The Northern Echo.
Copies of the order of service, signed by Mr Blair, were distributed on the day, but several Angels who were unable to attend missed out.
Now Mr Blair has signed 32 more copies and sent them to The Northern Echo to distribute to those who did not get one.
Any former Aycliffe munitions worker who missed out on a copy can request one by calling The Northern Echo newsdesk on (01325) 505065.
They will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to one per person.
