POSTMEN cannot suppress a titter when they deliver parcels of lingerie for ladies with a fuller figure - much to the annoyance of some of Sally Robinson's customers.
Now farmer's wife Sally has been forced to change the packaging sent out by her Ample Bosom business, based on the North York Moors.
The phenomenally successful mail order and Internet lingerie business has served the world's more generously proportioned women for nearly two years.
But the flamboyant packaging used to send out the firm's products has now been replaced by a more discreet design after complaints from several women that their postman had an unusual smirk on his face when he walked up the drive.
Sally said: "We had some corporate colour and a logo on the packages, and everything said Ample Bosom. There were people who didn't like the postman sniggering at that, but I thought the postman was entitled to a chuckle.
"We had to change to a plain package and we are working on a new logo now."
She added: "The views of customers have always been of vital importance and have influenced the way the company has developed."
The award-winning company was established in 1999 after Sally decided to give up her daily routine of cattle, sheep and pigs.
She converted a redundant farm building in Old Byland, near Sutton Bank, into an international business which attracts orders from as far afield as Australia and New Zealand.
The Ample Bosom operation will be opened to the public on Friday, January 26, from 10am to 4pm. Anyone wanting to attend should ring (01439) 798388.
