DAREDEVIL volunteers are needed for a sponsored abseil off one of the North-East's most famous landmarks.
The Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) is planning an abseil off the Tyne Bridge, Newcastle, on Sunday, March 4.
Caroll Pattison, area fundraising manager for the charity's Northumberland and Tyne and Wear branch, said the event comes at the end of a very successful 12 months for them.
Anyone managing to raise more than £100 will receive a free T-shirt while anyone raising more than £200 will get a free helicopter ride.
All money will go towards helping blind and partially sighted children in the region and it costs £5 to register for the stunt.
