POCKET rocket Lee Goodfellow has amazed his family after taking the motorbiking world by storm.
Eight-year-old Lee, from Redmire Close, Darlington, County Durham, has won 50 trophies in the two years he has been racing.
Now, the North Road Primary School pupil is ready to move up to a bigger machine.
Father Steve Goodfellow, who races bikes himself, got his son interested in the sport at a meeting two years ago.
Mr Goodfellow said: "Ever since, he's either been in the top ten or winning some sort of trophy - I don't know where we're going to put them all, because he's got about 50."
Lee, known on the circuit as the pocket rocket, travels all over the country to race and is well-known in the sport.
Sponsored by his father's business, Darlington Motor Factors, Lee will soon be moving up from 50cc machines to 65cc.
He was recently named the North-East centre championship winner, with a trophy almost the same size as him, and the North-East club champion.
Mr Goodfellow said: "He's competing against all the top riders of his age group in the country. He has to stick in at school, that's part of the deal, and he's a good kid. I'm just so proud of my little lad."
