PHONEY football fans used mobile phones to orchestrate crowd trouble at a cup tie involving a North-East team, a match video shows.
Bishop Auckland's hosts, Burton Albion, have studied film footage of the mayhem caused by thugs at last Saturday's FA Trophy game in Staffordshire, which Burton won 2-0.
Burton chairman Ben Robinson is demanding action from the police and the Football Association to keep the culprits away from other clubs.
About 100 hooligans rampaged through Burton's streets before the kick-off. Trouble broke out inside the non-league ground three times, and the match was held up while police and stewards cleared up to 60 people from the pitch.
Mr Robinson hopes the troublemakers can be identified from the match video and police photographs and film.
He is sending a copy of the club's video to FA headquarters in London.
He said last night: "It was definitely organised. You can see who the ringleaders are. They were calling each other on mobile phones. They were out to cause trouble.
"These people have nothing to do with football. We know that they were not Bishop Auckland fans. They were not football fans. It is no reflection on Bishop Auckland at all.
"We want the FA and the police to take action to identify who they are and make sure that they are banned from football altogether, so that other clubs do not go through this."
