AN appeal for stationery for children in developing countries has brought a good response.
Sarah Armstrong, 23, of Etherley Grange, near Bishop Auckland, is spending two years with Voluntary Service Overseas teaching English to children in Rwanda.
The pupils are desperately short of stationery, and since Sarah made an appeal for help in The Northern Echo on Monday, the Armstrongs have been amazed at the response.
