Willington League
Willington Brewer's Droop A took five of the six singles at Willington Burn. Only Alan Franks managed to win for the home side, while Brett Fleming, Paul Williams, Alan Lee senior, James Bolam and Alan Lee Junior won for the visitors. The Burn shocked their visitors by taking all three doubles points to leave the match only one point down.
Howden Australian B kept pace with the Brewer's Droop A after winning the tightest match of the week against their A team. Stephen Burke, Paul Johnson, Michael Burke and Paul Davidson won for the B team with Michael Richardson and Jonathan Hodgson replying. The A team levelled by taking the first two singles but in the decider, Stephen Burke and Paul Davidson beat Ray Newton and Jonathan Hodgson.

Spennymoor League
Ithe first week of the revived league, Spennymoor Hillingdon edged through to an odd point victory over the Spennymoor Voltigeur. Hillingdon had singles points from Gary Armstrong, Ian Smith and Kenny Smith while Stephen Santi and Michael Miller replied.
Both the doubles points went to the Hillingdon when Curtis Simpson with Paul Fox and Ben Smith with Ian Smith won. The Voltigeur pulled one back in the captain's game, where Miller won.
l The next League meeting will be on Wednesday, February 7 in Spennymoor Ashtree. All teams must be represented.
