AN exhibition of battledress and armour opened at Brough Park, near Catterick, at the weekend. An array of military uniforms - part of an exhibition by Dutch artist Auke de Vries, above - went on display for the first time in Britain. The exhibition, Designs for a Friesian Army, is on show at St Paulinius, a church building in the grounds of Brough Park. It is a joint venture between the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and artist Greville Worthington and features uniforms for an imaginary army to protect Friesland, in Holland Picture: RICHARD DOUGHTY
