A TOWN'S unemployed residents are being offered incentives to encourage them to try to find jobs.
Hartlepool Action Team for Jobs will be at the town's People Centre in Raby Road on Wednesday, between 10am and 2pm.
The team will be available to give advice and help to anyone seeking employment, or who feels they cannot find employment.
Annette Harrison, team leader, said: "Whatever it is that stops people working, we want to hear about it because we can help remove that barrier.
"Often it is quite easy to do, for example, a time-served joiner may have the chance of a job but needs a bag of tools to take with him on to a site - we can get those tools.
"Something that simple is all it takes to help someone change their life and be more happy."
To tempt people to attend the event, the action team have 200 free tickets to watch Hartlepool United play Torquay United on February 20, to hand out on the day
