A MAN accused of selling the eggs of endangered species of birds is to stand trial later this year.
Michael Davidson, 57, previously denied three offences relating to the sale of 155 eggs - over an unspecified period - of birds of prey, including golden eagle, osprey, peregrine and kestrel, none of which have been recovered.
Mr Davidson, of Lanton Terrace, New Herrington, near Sunderland, appeared at Durham Crown Court yesterday when proceedings were adjourned for a provisional trial in May.
