POLICE have renewed their appeal for information surrounding the final hours of an 81-year-old man whose body was pulled from a river.
A passer-by spotted the body of Lawrence Holliday, in the River Tees, near the Princess Diana Bridge, at Stockton, on Friday afternoon.
An appeal from police for information from people who saw Mr Holliday in the time before the discovery of his body has already led to a number of calls from members of the public.
Now detectives are anxious to speak to anyone who was in Stockton town centre on Thursday and Friday last week. They would like them to search their memory to try and remember if they saw Mr Holliday.
Mr Holliday, from Hartburn, Stockton, was only 5ft 2in tall and was wearing a flat cap and a brownish maroon coloured leather bomber jacket.
