THREE workmen have been arrested after equipment allegedly went missing from the headquarters of Durham County Council.
The men, sub-contractors for an outside firm working at County Hall, Durham, were taken to the city's police station on Sunday night.
Property including a lap-top computer, mobile phones and micro-cassette recorders is believed to have been taken from offices in County Hall. It is not thought that the computer contained sensitive details.
A council spokesman said yesterday: "All the items have now been recovered and the matter is in the hands of the police."
