INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into a string of sexual assaults in the North-East.
Despite a continued appeal for information about the sex attacks in Thornaby, the balaclava-clad man is still at large.
His victims were an 18 year-old, who he indecently assaulted, a woman disturbed by someone looking into her bedroom, and a 15-year-old girl, who was assaulted after waking up to find a man in her bed.
A fourth attack was carried out on a young mother.
Officers believe the same man was foiled in an attempt to attack another woman, when her boyfriend, Tony Walker, found him hiding in their garden in Stirling Way, Thornaby.
A 34-year-old man was questioned in connection with the incident but was released with out charge.
Despite appeals by the police and Mr Walker, there have been no new leads in the case.
A police spokeswoman said: "We are continuing our investigations into the attacks.
